Efektivitas Career Planner Trainning Terhadap Pengambilan Keputusan Siswa SMP Negeri 3 Wonosalam

Abstract


Career decision making is part of the process in the stages of a teenager's life in determining career choices which can start when they are in junior high school. Meanwhile, teenagers who are not yet able to know about career planning through secondary school can take it, for example entering high school, vocational school and college. Career Planner Training was carried out to determine the effectiveness of this training in decision making for students at SMP Negeri 3 Wonosalam. The respondents in this study were 24 students who were class 9 students at SMP Negeri 3 Wonosalam. The type of research used in this research is an experimental method with One Group Pre-test-Post-test with the aim of helping researchers find out the impact obtained by research respondents after being given intervention or treatment. The measuring instrument used in this research uses aspects of career decision making from John Krumboltz's (1980) theory, namely define the problem (identify the problem), establish an action plan (determine the action plan), clarify values (clarify the values), identify alternatives (identify alternatives ), discover probable outcomes (find possible outcomes), eliminate alternatives systematically (eliminate alternatives systematically), and star action (start action). Based on the hypothesis test carried out, it is known that the value is 0.013 < 0.05, so there is a difference in the students' pre-test and post-test scores before and after being given career planning training. It can be concluded that there is an influence of career planning training for grade 9 students of Wonosalam State Middle School in making decisions about careers in the future.
