Peningkatan Kesadaran Lingkungan Melalui Pelatihan Pengelolaan Sampah Plastik Dengan Prinsip 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Pada Siswa Kelas 7 SMPN 3 Wonosalam

Abstract


One of the most common problems in urban and rural areas in Indonesia is waste. Waste-related problems can cause disasters. There are still many people who do not throw garbage in its place. One of the causes is the lack of environmental awareness. Environmental awareness needs to be developed starting from oneself. This research was conducted to discuss the training of plastic waste processing with the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle in order to increase environmental awareness in one of the areas that are still a concern related to waste and its management. This research was conducted on 7th grade students at SMPN 3 Wonosalam. Quantitative data collection was carried out using pre-test and post-test of environmental awareness scale that refers to the theory of Dembowski and Hanmer-Lloyd (1994). The analysis technique used to test the results of training activities is the non-parametric Wilcoxon test using SPSS version 27 program. Based on the Wilcoxon test conducted, it is known that the significance value (p) is 0.009 and z is -2.620. This means that there is a difference in students' environmental awareness before and after the provision of waste management training with the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle.
